Kilimanjaro Safaris: Now with (More) Real Animals!

Come in, Simba One! The Disney Parks Blog has announced plans to change the final “scene” of Kilimanjaro Safaris. Instead of rushing to save the Baby Elephant “Little Red” from nefarious poachers, the last scene will be reconstructed as a Savannah space with a watering hole for live animals.

This will obviously cause a bit of a change in the story of the attraction, but Jennifer Baker, of the Disney Parks blog, promises the attraction will continue to have a “prominent conservation message.”

The changes will be completed by Fall 2012, though the attraction will remain open throughout.
