On May 1st, cast members from The Avengers and executives from Marvel Studios will ring the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange at 9:30 AM. Once the opening bell is rung, trading of stocks can commence until the closing bell is rung that night.
Marvel is no stranger to the NYSE. It has previously been involved in ringing the closing or opening bells for Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Thor. Last summer, Chris Evans rang the opening bell to promote Captain America: The First Avenger. Stan Lee, creator of many classic superheroes, toured the floor in 2010.
The Avengers will be represented by Clark Gregg and Tom Hiddleston. Gregg plays SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson who’s trying to stop the nefarious plans of Loki, portrayed by Tom Hiddleston.
