The Magical Blogorail Green Loop

Welcome to those of you joining me from The CanaDisney Blog and those of you just hopping aboard Magical Blogorail Green. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail. This month’s loop features our favorite character dining moments.

Ohana is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants on Disney Property. Its at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, one of my favorite (and most visited) resorts at Walt Disney World and features wonderful family style breakfast and dinner. The dinner is very well reviewed, and for good reason; however, Ohana’s breakfast is often overlooked. With delicious tropical juice, unique pineapple bread, and bacon (all you can eat bacon, mind you), the food is certainly tasty. Ohana breakfast also has a lovely, relaxing atmosphere (especially for a character breakfast).

Of course, the view of Bay Lake and Magic Kingdom is exquisite. The dining room is very bright and its a perfect place to start a day at Disney. Seriously, I could sit and look through these windows for hours (and I have – cause they keep bringing food!) and I suggest you do the same.

At Ohana, you’ll have the chance to dine with Mickey, Pluto, Stitch, and Lilo. With the possible exception of Lilo, these are characters that are very easy to find throughout Walt Disney World. While the character aspect of the Ohana breakfast is fun (there’s even a Conga Line – think Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride), the character interactions take a back seat to the serene location and tasty food. The characters compliment the experience well, though, and certainly don’t detract from the atmosphere.

Ohana is a breakfast I definitely recommend. It can be tough to get a reservation here for dinner, but don’t be afraid to give this character breakfast a shot. Just make sure to leave enough time to sit back, relax, and enjoy paradise.
