Today the Disney Parks Blog announced that Disney will be bringing Starbucks food and drink items to all four Walt Disney World theme parks, as well as Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure.
The Starbucks locations inside the park will be built to blend into the themes of each respective property and guests may have to do a double take to realize it is actually a Starbucks. For example, the California Adventure location will be called the Fiddler, Fifer and Practical Cafe (after the Three Little Pigs) and will have no Starbucks logo printed outside the establishment. They will signature Starbucks coffee, pastries, sandwiches and more in addition to “Disney favorites.”
Many have already vocalized their displeasure with this licensing deal; however, I will be reserving judgement until the stores open. I, for one, miss having McDonald’s french fries on my walk to Splash Mountain. And I am always on board for more restaurant options and a wider selection, especially given Disney’s very slim coffee options.
It will just be a bit strange to be in Magic Kingdom and order a Venti Mocha Latte with extra Pixie Dust.
Where do you think each store will go?
