One More Disney Day Kicks off

one more disney day 300x231 One More Disney Day Kicks offFans of the Disney parks have the opportunity to spend 24 hours in Disney’s flagship parks on this special leap year day. Both the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland in California will be open a full 24 hours, allowing guests to enjoy a variety of attractions (including the Magic Kingdom’s new “Sorcerer’s of the Magic Kingdom” game) from 6 am to 6 am on this special occasion.  Many fans have planned trips around the unique marathon park opening, and many locals are planning to take advantage of the special event as well.

Entertainment Schedule Released for One More Disney Day

onemoreday Entertainment Schedule Released for One More Disney Day On February 29,2012, the Magic Kingdom park in Florida and Disneyland in California will celebrate “One More Disney Day” – a 24 hour continuous opening of the parks that will allow guests to enjoy the extra leap year day as a “Disney Day.” Guests will have a unique opportunity to celebrate from 6:00 am on Wednesday  February 29 to 6:00 am on March 1, and Disney has promised a variety of special ceremonies and merchandise to celebrate the event.  Although not all attractions will remain open for the full 24 hour period, and table service dining will be suspended at midnight, Disney seems to be planning more than enough activities to keep park goers celebrating for a full extra day.

Additional parade times, show times, and character meet times have been released for the 24 hour celebration to help guests plan their time in the park. The following show and character times represent a change from the usual park schedule for that one day:

Special Parade Times:

  • Main Street Electrical Parade –  Showings at

  • Welcome Show outside the park entrance

  • Main Street Trolley singers & dancers

  • The Magic, The Memories, and You Castle Projection Show

    • 11:00 pm

  • Characters from Tangled - Fantasyland - from 9:15 am – 5:30 am
  • Winnie the Pooh and friends Fantasyland - from 10:15 am – 3:30 am
  • Woody and Jessie Frontierland – intermittently from 9:30 am – 4:30 am
  • Disney Princesses At Town Square Theater - FastPasses available from 9:00 am – 5:30 am
  • Mickey & Minnie Mouse  At Town Square Theater - FastPasses available from 9:00 am – 5:30 am
